M's RBI Club/www.FriendsOfCFF.com Safeco Field Lunch Auction Raised over $6,000 for Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and Mariners Care.
The 2nd Annual Seattle Mariners RBI Club auction
and Mariner-CFF Golf tournament raffle was held at our May 15th,
2009 luncheon. Thanks to the giving nature of the attendees we
raised over $6,000.00 in only a half hour. Examples of the really
cool items included 4 tickets to go down on the field and watch the
Mariners take batting practice, Ken Griffey, Jr. autographed
baseball and bat, Jay Buhner autographed Jersey and baseball, JJ
Putz autographed home jersey and more. One lucky club member won two
tickets to play in the June 22nd Mariner-CFF golf tournament
benefiting CFF at Newcastle Golf Club.
Dave Simms of the Mariner Broadcast team once again volunteered to act as the auctioneer and did a wonderful job, not only was he a great MC but his insight to the game made it educational as well! Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and Seattle Mariners Raise $185,000 at Golf Tournament.
The
23rd Annual CFF/Mariners Golf Tournament was held on June 22nd,
2009 at Newcastle Golf Course. Newcastle has been hosting the
tournament for many years and once again enabled the golfing
event of the year in the Northwest. Some of the finest
companies, foundations and local businesses supplied outstanding
items for the silent and live auction and the dinner and
beverages was outstanding!

Washington Chapter’s Seattle Mariners Care Golf
Tournament found great success in 2008.
As hosts of the tournament, Mariners left-fielder Raul Ibanez,
pitcher J.J. Putz, and outfielder Richie Sexson along with
other past and present Mariners (Jay Buhner,
Edgar Martinez, Dave Henderson, John McLaren, Jeremy Reed, Jamie
Burke, Author Rhodes, Dave Simms) drew a large group of
participants, including local business and community leaders.
