Two
years later when Ken Griffey
Sr. and Jr. were making
catches for him in the
outfield together.
Brian still has a game
batting line up card signed
by both Griffey Sr. and Jr.
and he considers it very
special. He has had several
collectors offer him
large dollar amounts for it
but he will NEVER sell it.
He also has a Ken Griffey
Jr. photo ball that Jr.
signed for him " George K.
Griffey Jr." It's very rare
for Junior to sign a ball
that way.....and as Brian
says its not for sale
either!
Where is Brian now?
"Wichita is where all my
family is from and where I
grew up part of my life," he
said. "And then I've been
here for three years, and I
love working in that
financial area and working
with people to help them
make sure their finances and
stuff like that are in
order."
Holman is in Wichita with
his family, which includes
wife Jami, and children
Scott, David and Jennifer.
Including Brian's open-heart
surgery for a leaking mitral
valve in 2003, the family
has had several tough
health-related issues. But
none hit harder than the
passing of their adopted
daughter, Kassidy, around
two years ago after an
extended battle with
leukemia.
"It doesn't matter
whether you're a ball player
or the color of your skin or
rich or poor, bad things can
happen to anybody at
anytime, and you just have
to try to figure out a way
to get through it," Holman
said.
We at Friends of CFF
want to dedicate this page
to Brian for all he
continues to do for the
children of the
world.......from those with
CFF to those with
Leukemia...Thank you!!!!
